I made connections here that will last a lifetime, but there were a few that really encouraged me to pursue licensing and ordination. Nathan McKeen, pastor of Flushing Alliance Church, became my Apostle Paul seemingly overnight. He seen just how creative I was and may have a little jealous of all the projects I’ve recently been involved in (e.g., starring in another music video and helping make a game for the Nintendo Switch). Likewise, I was floored by his drawing skills and Biblical knowledge, but when he talked about the steps involved to become a pastor, he made it seem… not so intimidating?
I remember my breathing becoming funny. I remember my heart beating faster. I remember my mind coming up with all these “what if” scenarios. But more importantly, I remember my light flickering…
...at least for a moment.
